After driving for over 15 hours from Columbia, SC we finally got into Buffalo, NY at 10pm. Towing a 12' trailer slowed us down and so did the bridge that was down for maintenance in W. Virginia.

The moving company should arrive with the rest of our stuff sometime late this week.

Welcome to Buffalo! Head on over to Duff's on Sheridan if you want wings. Anchor Bar is a tourist trap with a 3 hour wait. Also check out Charlie the Butcher near the airport for the best Beef on Weck, and Suzie Q's barbecue for (I am not lying) pulled pork that would hold its own in NC (it's not mustard-based, but still....).

thanks, I'm actually from Buffalo, and I've only been away for about a year! I've heard great things about Susie Q's, so I'll have to try that out. Personally I think the best wings are from Bar-Bill in E. Aurora, but I have to agree with you about Anchorbar.

Thanks, the garage is the biggest reason we chose this house. I'm actually within a mile of the house I grew up in, and I'm happy to be back in Buffalo.

I *think* I've had the Bar-Bill wings some years ago and recall liking them. I'm actually in NC now (the day that I sold my snowblower was such a happy one!). Definitely check out Susie Q's. Get the bbq smoked sausage, it's insanely good.

Oh man, Charlie the Butcher has the best roast beef I've ever had. I used to buy 2lb packs from Niagara Produce every week and a half. Enough for sammiches for lunch.

This is going to sound weird, but ... their asparagus was AMAZING. Brushed with oil, sprinkled with seasoning, put on a hot grill. When you can get me to chow down on asparagus, you're doing something right.

I hate asparagus, but I can stand it if it's been grilled. My Mom learned that many years ago when I was young.

my wife and I love grilling veggies. Try grilled/ roasted Brussels sprouts and you'll never want to stop. Make sure you drizzle olive oil, garlic, and whatever other seasonings you'd like on them and then cook it. It's seriously delicious.

if you like fresh roast beef, check out omega deli! They have the best roast beef I have ever had. They also have super cheap spices in generous quantities! That's the best deli(s) I've ever had the pleasure of visiting!
